How To Be A People Magnet In Business

The leaders who are on top of the game in MLM are people magnets. This is something different from a salesman, who, as we all have seen, has to pressure people into buying what he has to sell. People magnets are a pulling force to those of like mind who simply want more of what they are offering. This is the basic principle of attraction marketing. Getting people to like you, attracting them to what you have to offer, and then in turn having them wanting, I repeat wanting what you have. This is not like having them be sold like with a salesman.

What are the keys to being a people magnet? One thing to remember is that as soon as you lead immediately off with what you have to sell, people are going to run for the hills. You should lead with yourself as a confident, self assured expert who has something of value to present that will help them to succeed.

If you are not yet an authority, that's OK, you can use your confidence (simply a choice, by the way, if you do not think you have confidence) and show yourself as a person who genuinely wants to help others to eliminate their problems. You can let them know that you have the resources available to give them exactly what they need.

To promise to do this, you must first have these resources, so find yourself a good mastermind team or leader that is teaching you practical and solid business techniques and is using a program and tools that actually work.

Before you can to promise and provide a person with a solution to their problems, you must first find out what these problems are. This is why it is important to be a person who listens closely and eagerly. Listen until the person is finished presenting their problems and then Ask questions to find out all you can about their reasons and values. This will immediately impress them that you have their true interest in mind.

Another thing to remember is to never stop positive! Never criticize or be negative about a competitor in the network marketing field because the truth is that the person whom you are attempting to attract may actually like or already be working with that company. Presenting negativity or criticism about anything or anyone is not attractive to others.

A major factor of being positive is learning how to deal with and get along with everyone.

John D. Rockefeller once said "The ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as sugar or coffee, and I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun."

This doesn't mean that you ever can be an ass kisser, excuse my French, but you must be able to deal with people at their level. Learn understanding and remember that everyone has a reason for being the way that they are. It may not always be a good reason, but it is true just the same. People believe what they believe because of various experiences that they have had in their lifetime. Some of these experiences are deeply embedded and until something comes along that can help to change the person's perception from their experience, than they will hold their belief.

Sometimes this comes in the form of a bad experience that a person had on being sold on something that was not what it promised to be. The never fail way to change someone's hurt from this is to promise them something of value, deliver it to them for free, and then just watch how their skepticism will turn into them reaching for more of what you have.

If you lead with your expertise and not your product, you are offering information and tools for a person to succeed with whatever company they choose to be with. If you eventually prove to them that you truly can show them how to thrive in anything they do, then who knows, they may end up working with you some day. In the mean time, they are very likely to want to buy and use the tools you are offering to help them succeed, so you can still make money by helping them.

In order to offer and then actually make good on these promises that you make you should also implement the principles that I work very hard to hold to in my business and these are honesty and integrity. When you offer something to someone, you must be very honest about what you promise. The tools and programs that you recommend to anyone have to be something you use and what you know to work for you and others. By doing this, you are building integrity in your character and in your business.

Integrity is crucial in getting people to like and believe in you. I used to think that integrity was just one of those high and mighty words used by people who thought they were better than others. I was then once told something by a structural engineer who used to work on bridges of which the integrity had been compromised. It was his job to fix the bridges.

He explained that the entire integrity of a bridge is dependent on it's foundation. If a little break appears in the foundation of the bridge and if it is ignored, it will spread and eventually lead to the crumbling of the entire structure.

This is also what we must pay attention to in our business. Using absolutely complete honesty when conducting ourselves is the surest way to avoid cracks from appearing in our foundation of character. If we tell the tiniest little lie about what we are claiming to others, nothing that they do will ever work. If we remain completely honest, the integrity of our character and business will be sound.

In summary, if you lead with yourself and not your business, act with honesty and integrity, provide valuable advice and effective tools, and can truly remain positive in showing others how to succeed, you will be attracting people to your team like bees to honey.
